Three men who ran A1 Clamping Services were jailed yesterday for demanding money with menaces.
Those convicted were Lee Stagg (sentenced to three years), Carlton Williams (sentenced to five and a half years),and Michael Riddle (sentenced to 18 month).
The victims were drivers from Bristol and the South West of England.
The police who investigated the trio said that they ripped off motorists and charged exorbitant fees to release motorists.
It is believed that the men earned £350,000 from their activities.
Carlton Williams and Lee Stagg also admitted to evasion of National Insurance and Income Tax as well as benefit fraud.
