A London local authority is scheduled to stop CCTV enabled "spy cars" utilised to drivers and give out penalties for parking and moving traffic contraventions

The efficacy of the spy cars was questioned after the local authority had to refund approximately £1 million in wrongly given penalties.
Barrie Segal of appealnow.com said that he hoped that other councils would do the same. He described the spy cars as "sneaky".
