Parking Ticket Scam in New York.

A New York City  data-entry clerk has pled guilty to raking in $24,000 in bribes with a parking ticket scam she operated using a corner store.

Prosecuting counsel said that Karen Frazier pled guilty this week to criminal charges which included tampering with public files.

The 42-year-old woman worked for the city’s Department of Finance in a department that takes care of summonses given to business motor vehicles.

Prosecutors say that Frazier met up with motorists at a Brooklyn shop ın which she agreed to “take care” of their parking tickets if they paid her 50 percent of the amount of the registered fine.

She was accused of faking settlements to reduce fines, then paying for them with dud cheques.
